Chosen.

July 15, 2008 at 1:09 am (I[heart]Jesus)

I came upon a verse that blows my mind.

John 15:16 reads

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

God makes it clear: “I chose you. You didn’t choose me. I say when you bear fruit, and I say what your fruit will go on to do”.

God will show mercy on whomever he shall show mercy. And I am so glad God chose me to be spared.

WHAT! are you saying that because of sin, we lost the ability to chose God, so God had to chose us? I mean, its not like Romans 3:10-11 is biblical or anything….

    A-duh.
    I mean, c’mon Jim.

You need to start reading your Bible. Everyone knows the Bible speaks of “free will” all the time. It doesn’t ever say “election”, “those who are called”, or “I will be gracious unto whom I will be gracious”. If anyone tells you the Bible says that we are called to salvation- they’re a liar.

I don’t care what Ephesians 1:4-5 says, that doesn’t sound very loving!

you did a great job today, you lead the service very well. good job!

Isn’t it amazing how God chooses us?? I feel ecstatic when i realize God chose me, separated me from the rest. I didn’t find Him, He choose me from the start, for salvation
